Announcing the NIFW Gotham Fellowship 22-23 Cohort!

The Nashville Institute for Faith and Work is excited to announce the 2022-2023 class for The Gotham Fellowship! We are excited to have a representation of 8 churches and 7 industries across the 13 Fellows in this year’s Cohort. Please join us in praying for each of our Fellows as we kick off the year together with an Opening Retreat on August 26 & 27th.

Meet the NIFW Gotham Fellowship Year 8 Cohort:

Cohort Bios:

Annie Barnes

A Pharmacist by training and experience, Annie has served her family as a homemaker in recent years. Annie has lived in Nashville since 2005 and she and her family attend Covenant Presbyterian Church in Green Hills. 

Lindsay Blaire Beeman

A new resident of Nashville, Lindsay Blaire serves as Director of Community Formation as Christ Presbyterian Church Old Hickory Blvd. Lindsay Blaire comes to Nashville from Charlotte, NC with a vocational background in nonprofit and ministry leadership.

Lauren Brett 

Coming to Nashville by way of Anderson, SC, Lauren will serve as NIFW Program Coordinator as of mid-August 2022. Lauren has a vocational background in Higher Education Administration and Church Ministry.

Angela Courtney

A native Nashvillian, Angela attends Cathedral of the Incarnation in Midtown. Angela exercises her gifts, education, and experience in the Business Consulting field. Her interest in taking part in Gotham was piqued through participating in the NIFW Foundations of Faith and Work course hosted at her church during the Fall of 2021. 

Jonathan Davis

Jonathan Davis grew up an hour south of Nashville and serves in the Healthcare Business industry in Brentwood. Jonathan attends Crieve Hall Church of Christ and has loved seeing how people in this city respond and take care of one another in moments of crisis, even as the city continues to grow.

Paul Ferree

Having spent 15 years in Washington, DC serving in Government and Technology, Paul leads a team remotely for a DC-based Tech nonprofit. Paul and his family attend Christ Presbyterian Church Old Hickory Blvd.

Julie Gilpin 

Julie moved to Nashville for an internship over 20 years ago and has never looked back! With a vocational background in Publishing and Church leadership, in a variety of business and administrative roles, Julie serves on staff at Midtown Fellowship Church where she and her family attend.

John Herbold

A leader and entrepreneur in the Tech industry, John and his family initially moved to the Nashville from the West Coast in 2011. They attend Covenant Presbyterian Church in Green Hills.

Trevor Pavey

With an extensive vocational background of leadership in the Tech industry, Trevor currently serves as the Senior Director of Ministry Support at Christ Presbyterian Church Old Hickory Blvd. With a deep passion for faith and work integration and interest in participating in Gotham for some time, this is Trevor’s year!

Kurt Schnaubelt

After serving as a Consultant in Nashville for 4 years, Kurt made the move to Music City in 2019. Kurt has built a career serving in a variety of business roles in the Food Industry. He and his wife attend Christ Presbyterian Church Music Row. 

Jan Shurtz

Having spent years in Chicago serving as a Career Coach, Jan moved to Nashville in the Spring of 2022. After years of traveling to the area to visit family, Jan has enjoyed making Tennessee her home. Jan attends Christ Presbyterian Church Old Hickory Blvd.

Chris Tompkins

Chris came to Nashville initially  to attend college and now serves in the city in the Music Industry in Financial Services.  He and his wife attend Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.

Tiffany Turner

While Tiffany has lived in Nashville for 20 years, it was experiencing the way the city unified to meet needs in response to the 2010 flood that made Nashville home for her. Tiffany serves vocationally in nonprofit leadership. She and her family attend Providence United Methodist Church.
