why entrepreneur support group?

The entrepreneur sees a vision that perhaps no one else can. However, holding that aspiration while working in the pressures of reality can be isolating.

The day-to-day stressors of being an entrepreneur can easily eclipse the core reason many entrepreneurs pursue their work: to create something new out of nothing, or to challenge the status quo.

Payroll. Investors. Competition. Hiring. Firing. Burnout. The daily demands of creating and leading a company can wear down even the most energetic entrepreneurs.

What would change if you could see these details as a part of God’s unfolding story?

God has His ever-present hand in our daily work. By bringing original ideas into the world, entrepreneurs reflect the immense creativity of our Creator. God has placed entrepreneurs working in all different industries throughout Nashville that are navigating many of the same day-to-day challenges. We created the Entrepreneur Support Group to be a safe space for entrepreneurs to gather with others who understand the thorns and thistles of running a business and learn how to integrate their faith and entrepreneurism.

ESG has been a great experience. It has been a place for me to find support, encouragement, and community and to share my life with other entrepreneurs amidst the ups and downs of building a business. It has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with others in what it means to serve Christ and pursue the Kingdom of God as an entrepreneur. It’s something I look forward to each week.

what is entrepreneur support group?

The Entrepreneur Support Group (ESG) meets for ten confidential weekly sessions where entrepreneurs reflect on their experiences in a spiritually-formative environment. Grounded in rich theological truth, the program helps entrepreneurs understand the redemptive potential of their work as they learn to lead from a posture of surrender rather than control. Led by a pastorally-trained executive coach, these meetings equip entrepreneurs to be able to:

  • Trade the pitfalls of isolation for the gift of a collaborative community.

  • Hold business optimization and God’s unfolding story in tandem through a deep understanding of faith and work theology.

  • Practice spiritual disciplines which support personal and business health.

  • Understand how your work can participate in God’s larger story of redemption.
